Privacy policy
This policy covers rovugui.com and its subdomains. Each product we make has its own website and its own privacy policy, which applies when you use that product.
Who we are
Rovugui is operated by Carlos Brotas, sole trader, Portugal. For anything about your data, email hello@rovugui.com.
What we collect
Analytics
We count visits with Umami, which we host ourselves at analytics.rovugui.com. It sets no cookies and doesn't store your IP address. It records the page, the referring site, and your browser, device type and country. We can't use this to identify you, and we don't share it.
Contact form
If you write to us, we receive your name, email address and message by email. We use them only to reply. Resend delivers the message to us, and it lands in our Google mailbox. We delete conversations we no longer need, and keep none longer than two years after the last message.
Waitlists
Some of our projects on rovugui.com subdomains have a waitlist. If you join one, we store your email address, the project, the page you signed up from and when you confirmed. We send one confirmation email through Resend, then only launch news for that project. Email us any time and we'll remove you. We delete a waitlist within 12 months of the project launching or being dropped.
Search Console data
We use Google Search Console to see how our own websites appear in Google search. A Google app we registered, called growth-bot, reads that data with read-only access. Only we sign in to it. It doesn't ask for or receive access to anyone else's Google account.
Legal basis
Analytics and Search Console data rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how people find and use our websites. Contact form messages rely on your request for a reply. Waitlists rely on your consent, which you give with the checkbox and confirm by email.
Where the data is
The website and analytics run on servers in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). Resend and Google may process contact emails outside the EU under their standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email hello@rovugui.com and we'll answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
